Question

I'm 17 and I'm worried my breasts are too saggy. To make it worse, one looks much lower than the other. Is there anything I can do to sort this out?

Answer

Every woman's breasts are different and unique. They come in all shapes and sizes. Please try not to worry about this problem, as the fact that they sag is completely natural and, at the age of 17, it's possible that they are still developing. .

Bearing that in mind, there is no easy way to permanently change the shape of your breasts without surgery, despite what you might read on some websites. A breast uplift operation might change the shape of your breasts. But cosmetic breast surgery is expensive, does have risks and often leaves the patient with a scar.

If you feel you do want to find out more about the possibility of surgery, I suggest that you go to see your local doctor (GP) and explain to them how you feel about your breasts. It's very unlikely you'd be able to get a breast uplift on the NHS, but your GP will be able to examine and give you more information about your surgical options.

You might also want to talk with friends or relatives. Almost all of us have at least one part of our body we're not happy with and it's easy to forget that whatever it is might be much more noticeable to ourselves than it is to others. You might find talking to people you trust helps you feel more comfortable about your breasts.
