Nobody's Perfect: Making of
Behind the scenes look at the making of four short films for the Nobody's Perfect film showcase featuring the young people who produced them.
Get Connected, the charity that
provides a helpline for young people, recently launched Nobody's Perfect, a new
website for young writers, actors and directors to showcase their talents and
win the chance to make four short films about the issues important to them
such as self-harm, sexuality and bullying. Young people between 16 and
25 were encouraged to submit films, scripts and music to showcase their
potential for the project.
In the first stage of the competition Get Connected chose 8 winners from London:
Adam Wedd, Stephanie Lennox, Zemmy Momoh, Toby Cohen, Dulani
Wilson, Timothy Unzola and Thomas Grigg.
The films entitled Overrated, Jump, Waiting Room and Numb were premiered at the
Odeon Covent Garden and the winners were joined by members of the celebrity
judging panel -Sandi Thom (I Wish I Was a Punk Rocker), JJ Feild (Northanger
Abbey) and Georgia Groome (Angus, Thongs and Perfect Snogging). Hollywood star Anne
Hathaway (The Devil Wears Prada) even dropped by the venue to chat to the
winners and wish them luck for their exclusive screening.
